Admissions

The New Horizon Youth Ranch experience is designed for a minimum of 12 months. The students are expected to stay at New Horizons Youth Ranch for a full year. The length of this transitional experience and the goals will be tailored to the individual needs of the student.

Our student population is currently for 20 boys and 8 girls.

While New Horizons Youth Ranch does provide services for both boys and girls, our programs are not co-ed. The boys and girls campuses are separate.

Boys eatingNew Horizons Youth Ranch is a small, nurturing program. As a result, there are times when we fill up quickly and are at capacity. It is important to contact us as soon as possible when you are interested in enrolling a student.

We know how difficult this time is for you and your family. Our goal is to make this as easy and hassle free as possible.

(*) Shorter term respites of 1 week to 3 months are available as well, when space allows. The fee for these terms is $150.00 per day. Please let us know if this is your interest right up front, as making this decision is based on many factors and different forms may be needed.

How will my money be spent?

Tuition includes the following:
  • 24 Hour Supervision
  • Christian Emotional Growth & Life Skills Curriculum
  • Church Involvement
  • Group Sessions / Substance abuse education
  • Local Transportation
  • Nutritious balanced diet / meals
  • Outdoor / Recreation Activities (camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, etc.)
  • Room and Board
  • Teleconferencing with staff

What is not included?

Fees not included in the tuition are as follows:
  • Items not listed above
  • Medical treatment
  • Medication
  • Student incidental fee
  • School Curriculum Costs
  • Psychiatric intervention or treatment above provided counseling

How do I get my son or daughter to you?

There are several options for getting your son or daughter to us.
  • Bring them yourself. When you wish, you may also schedule a tour of our facility at this time.
  • Have a friend or family member bring them.
  • Arrange for a youth transport agency to pick your son or daughter up and bring him to us.

Financial Assistance

New Horizons Youth Ranch has very limited partial scholarships available once or twice a year. Student Loans are made available via a third party. We are pleased to offer parents assistance with the loan process.
